Practical Info

TheMaastricht Bike Marathon is part of the three-day multi-sport festival dsm-firmenich Long Course Weekend Netherlands, combining swimming, cycling and running into one unforgettable weekend.

The Maastricht Bike: 50 km, 100 km or 180 km

You can take part in the run as an individual race or as part of the FULL or HALF Long Course Weekend challenge.

Location

Festival Area & Start/Finish:
Lage Frontweg 8, Maastricht, Netherlands

This is the central event location, including start and finish of all cycling distances.

Accessibility & Parking

We encourage participants and visitors to come on foot, by bike or by public transport.

Parking: Q-Park Frontenpark, Frontensingel, Maastricht (paid parking)

Participation Package

  • Personalized bike plate (for early registrations)*
  • Unique medal for each finisher (every distance) 
  • Aid stations along the course and at the finish
  • Free bag storage at the festival area

Bike plates can be collected at the athlete check-in at the festival area.
* Personalized bib numbers are only available for participants registered before May 1.

Cut-off Times

  • 50 km: 3 hours
  • 100 km: 8 hours
  • 180 km: 9 hours

Aid Stations

For the 100 km and 180 km, there are aid stations along the course and at the finish.
For the 50 km, aid is available at the finish..

Changing Rooms & Bag Drop

Bag drop and changing rooms are available at the festival area. Showers are not available. 

Medal Ceremony

Each finisher will receive a medal. Participants completing the FULL Long Course Weekend will receive an additional fourth medal during a special ceremony on Sunday at 16:00.

Name or Distance Change

Distance Change
A distance change is possible for an administrative fee of €10; any price differences between races are not included (for an upgrade, you pay €10 + the price difference).

Name Change
Until March 31,
it is possible to change your name free of charge by sending an email to [email protected] .

From April 1 onwards, a name change is still possible by email, but a €10 administrative fee will be charged.

For a name change, you must always provide the following details of the new participant:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Mobile number
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • Address
  • Emergency contact information (name, relation, and mobile number)

On-Site Registration,

Last-minute registration is available for all distances, provided the desired race is not sold out.

Good to know:

  • Prices are higher than online registration
  • Registration is done via the event app

How it works:

  • Download the app
  • Fill in your details and receive a QR code
  • Bring your QR code to the info desk
  • Pay on-site and receive your race entry

Cancellation

Did you purchase cancellation protection? Please go to Refundable to request your refund.
Did you not purchase cancellation protection? Then refunds are not possible.

Important

The Maastricht Bike is a recreational ride and not a race.
Participants must comply with all traffic rules at all times.

The course is not fully closed to traffic. There is no official timing.
